1--Hillary on Seth Rich: "Sorry, gotta go now"

Brazile was so concerned with Rich’s death that she used her brief, only phone call from Hillary Clinton after the election loss to bring him up. She asked Clinton to use some of the millions of dollars the campaign had in order to set up a reward fund to find his murderer. But Hillary said she “really had to go.”
I knew the campaign had over $3 million set aside in a legal fund. Could she help me get this lawsuit started? And don’t forget the murder of Seth Rich, I told her. Did she want to contribute to Seth’s reward fund? We still hadn’t found the person responsible for the tragic murder of this bright young DNC staffer.
You’re right, she said. We’re going to get to that. But she really had to go. She had made the call and checked it off her list, and I accepted after we said our good-byes that I might never hear from her again.

4-- “The Democratic Party had its thumb on the scale for Hillary Clinton.”

The Republican advantage is only partly the result of their gerrymander schemes and Koch brothers cash. Republicans control most state legislatures and Congress because the Democrats gave them up, preferring to win the presidency, cut deals with their supposed rivals, and let the rest of the party wither and die. The Clinton defeat and the low point of the Democrats is merely the day of reckoning for the scandalous betrayal at the top.....

The reaction to Brazile’s expose is further proof that the Democrats’ rank and file must move on and give up any illusion that the party can right itself. While Sanders backers gloat that they have been proven right, the Democratic establishment went further into defensive mode and attacked Brazile as if she had never been one of their own. They have even used their discredited slander of Russian election interference against her, although she is one of the biggest proponents of that lie....

Human rights, economic justice, and peace will never truly be on the Democratic Party agenda.
“The combination of subservience to corporate interests, Hillary’s ineptitude, voter cynicism, and white nationalist appeal for Trump killed it off for good.”

6-- The Inside Story of the Saudi Royal Purge

A top Middle East business/investment source who has been doing deals for decades with the opaque House of Saud offers much-needed perspective: “This is more serious than it appears. The arrest of the two sons of previous King Abdullah, Princes Miteb and Turki, was a fatal mistake. This now endangers the King himself. It was only the regard for the King that protected MBS. There are many left in the army against MBS and they are enraged at the arrest of their commanders.”

To say the Saudi Arabian Army is in uproar is an understatement. “He’d have to arrest the whole army before he could feel secure.”...

Throughout these developments, aversion to MBS never ceased to grow; “There are three major royal family groups aligning against the present rulers: the family of former King Abdullah, the family of former King Fahd, and the family of former Crown Prince Nayef.”...

Nayef – who replaced Bandar – is close to Washington and extremely popular in Langley due to his counter-terrorism activities. His arrest earlier this year angered the CIA and quite a few factions of the House of Saud – as it was interpreted as MBS forcing his hand in the power struggle.
According to the source, “he might have gotten away with the arrest of CIA favorite Mohammed bin Nayef if he smoothed it over but MBS has now crossed the Rubicon though he is no Caesar. The CIA regards him as totally worthless.”

7-- Donna Brazile was ordered not to discuss Trump Dossier: “I Was Told I Did Not Need To Know” (Video)

The former DNC chair claims she asked about the fake dossier and got rebuked.

Hillary Clinton and her campaign staff were obviously lying when it comes to their knowledge of the Trump Dossier, as The Gateway Pundit notes, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and John Podesta also denied knowing about the funding of the Russia dossier so who’s telling the truth?

8-- Israeli-Saudi Tandem Adjusts to Syria Loss

the military outcome in Syria is done (after six years of war), and now comes the political bargaining. How this plays out will determine the relative strengths of the forces that will shape the Middle East in the coming years...

Russia’s fast-track proposal of a conference to be held in Sochi, with the near-full kaleidoscope of Syrian opposition invited, which, if all goes as planned, might mean 1,000 delegates arriving in Sochi as soon as Nov. 18.

The Syrian government has agreed to attend. Of course, when one hears of attendance in these numbers, it suggests that this is not intended as a “sleeves rolled-up” working session, but rather as a meeting in which Russian thoughts will be mooted on the constitution, the system of government, and the place of “minorities” – with a chaser that Russia wants fresh elections pretty darned quick: which is to say, in six months’ time. In short, this is to be the “last chance saloon” for opposition figures: come aboard now, or be shut out, in the cold.
This initiative has plenty of push behind it, including President Putin’s personal endorsement, but no guarantee of success.

9-- Turkey says Russia has postponed Syria peace conference

Kazakhstan’s capital has hosted several rounds of peace talks on Syria since January.
Iran, Russia and Turkey, which serve as guarantor states in the peace process, plan to map out de-escalation zones in Syria’s militant-held northwestern province of Idlib, the central province of Homs and the Eastern Ghouta area outside of the capital Damascus, and exchange viewpoints on other matters such as prisoner exchange.

15-- How the Trump Dossier and the Syrian Crisis caused Russiagate

The big question is not whether the facts in this dossier are true or not; it is the extent to which the paranoid claims made in the dossier have shaped and might even have been the origin for the whole Russian hacking scandal....

My speculation that the Trump Dossier is the original cause of the whole Russiagate scandal has now received dramatic confirmation from a massive article in the Washington Post about the Russiagate scandal, which though it never specifically refers to the Trump Dossier, makes it quite clear that the Russiagate scandal is based on it....

The Trump Dossier purports to be a “report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the US Presidential race”, which is exactly what the report mentioned in the article is said to be.
The timing is right, with the early parts of the Trump Dossier dated to June 2016 and Brennan sending out his memorandum to Obama in August 2016.
No other report other than the Trump Dossier fitting the description of the report in the Washington Post article is known to exist, and the Washington Post article says that “Putin is a remarkably elusive target”, which makes it all but certain that no other such report exists....

What the Washington Post article does not say – though it will have been on the minds of all the US officials who discussed these options – is that October, when these proposals were discussed, was already a period of extreme tension between the US and Russia.....

The story of Russiagate since the autumn is of the US political class and the US intelligence community, having accepted the fictions of the Trump Dossier as true, desperately working overtime to prove them true.  That is impossible for the simple reason that they are not true.  Future historians will be incredulous at the credence given to this absurd document.

However the chronology of events provides a partial answer to this riddle.  Over and above the fury of Hillary Clinton and the Democrats at losing an election they were sure they would win, there is the further factor of the huge anger within the US political leadership and intelligence community and within the Obama administration at the humiliation (as they saw it) that the US suffered in Syria because of Russia.

That made them determined to strike back at Russia in whatever way they could, which led them to seize on the fantastic allegations of Russian meddling in the Presidential election in the Trump Dossier in order to justify doing so.

16-- The Trump campaign indictments and the political crisis in America

The Trump administration, dominated by generals and billionaires, is the most reactionary government in US history and a ruthless enemy of the working class. As it threatens to launch nuclear war against North Korea and stages endless provocations against Iran and China, while destroying health care, removing all regulations on big business, promoting police violence, witch-hunting immigrants and preparing to implement a multitrillion-dollar tax cut for the rich, it enjoys broad support in the financial oligarchy and sections of the military.

Trump, in league with Bannon, is deliberately cultivating the development of a ferociously nationalist, pseudo-populist movement outside of the political establishment and, if necessary, independent of the Republican Party.

But what is the basis of the Democrats’ opposition to Trump? Virtually absent from the commentary in the New York Times, Washington Post and other Democratic Party-aligned media outlets is any reference to Trump’s reactionary domestic and foreign policy. Instead, the Democrats are attacking Trump for being “soft” on Russia and directing their appeal to the military and the intelligence agencies.

Mueller, for many years the head of the FBI, personifies the deep state—the unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy of police, military and spies that is the real arbiter of US policies both at home and abroad. The Democratic Party is joined at the hip with this reactionary apparatus of repression and violence

according to a well-known Syria analyst and economic adviser with close contacts in the Syrian government, the explosive interview constitutes a high level “public admission to collusion and coordination between four countries to destabilize an independent state, [including] possible support for Nusra/al-Qaeda.” Importantly, “this admission will help build case for what Damascus sees as an attack on its security & sovereignty. It will form basis for compensation claims.”...

24--People reject both parties – and it's hard to blame them

Let’s run through some stats that reveal the state of politics in America.

Two of the most important are 28.1 per cent 27.3 percent of eligible voters. Those are the percentages of the total eligible voters voting for Clinton and Trump respectively. If we were to choose the percent of voting age population their numbers would be even lower, with Trump’s share coming in at a little over 26 percent.

But regardless, it means that nearly 45 percent of voters didn’t choose to vote for either party’s candidate. It’s actually worse than that since in fourteen states, more votes were cast for down ballot candidates, than for president, which means voters were so turned off by their choices, they left the top of the ticket blank. Yet when folks establish turnout, these “none-of-the-above” voters are counted. In Nevada, where people can actually choose “none-of-the-above,” for President 29,000 people did so.

The narrative in the media was all about how close this race was. In reality, none-of-the-above won in a walk, just as it has for decades, now. This degree of disaffection isn’t normal. It’s not the case in most of the developed world; and it didn't used to be the case here in the US.
And neither party has a monopoly on how much they are loathed by the people. Republican congressional leaders have favorable ratings of just 20 percent, and overall, Republicans in Congress have the support of just 29 percent.

First signed by US President Ronald Reagan on December 4, 1981, the order requires federal agencies to comply with requests for information from the Central Intelligence Agency. One statute of the order specifically allows information collection "that may violate federal, state, local or foreign laws." In other words, the order gives the intelligence community a free pass to break the law, regardless of who made the law.

30-- Russian envoy says Assad seeking out new roads to national reconciliation

Lavrentyev, who heads Russia’s delegation to the talks in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana, said: “Last week, we visited Damascus, where we held a substantive discussion with Syrian President Bashar Assad.” The goal of the visit was to assess the situation in the country and learn about the Syrian government plans for settling the crisis, he said, stressing: “It is very important that Bashar Assad is determined to search for the ways of national reconciliation.”
Speaking to journalists, Assad confirmed that Damascus was committed to launching a political reform, envisaging drafting a new constitution and holding parliamentary and presidential elections in line with the UN Security Council’s Resolution 2254
