The peak of cynicism and brutality-- In 2013, the New York Times reported on how Israel viewed the prospect of Obama bombing Assad’s forces: “This is a playoff situation in which you need both teams to lose, but at least you don’t want one to win — we’ll settle for a tie,” said Alon Pinkas, a former Israeli consul general in New York. “Let them both bleed, hemorrhage to death: that’s the strategic thinking here. As long as this lingers, there’s no real threat from Syria.” Prime minister Netanyahu’s views are no nobler either.

1-- Statement by Syria’s Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Walid Al-Moualem at the UN General Assembly

"For more than six years, Syrians have made great sacrifices to defend their country in the face of a terrorist war of unprecedented brutality....  The Syrian people have stood their ground, against all odds, because they knew that this was a war that sought to eliminate their country, and with it, their own existence. They are an example to follow by any people who might face, now or in the future, similar attempts to break their will and deny them their freedom and sovereignty."

2--US-backed forces seize Syrian gas plant

Commanders with the Kurdish militia that dominates the SDF have said they won’t allow the Assad regime to benefit from the battle against Islamic State.

“Our goal is to prevent the regime from taking the areas of oil which will enable it to regain control of the country like it was before” the start of the 2011 antigovernment uprising, Delsos Derrik, an SDF commander, said last month.

Despite actively battling Islamic State, the Syrian government also buys oil and gas from the terror group, according to U.S. and European officials. The regime also has been accused for years by antigovernment opposition and Western countries of enabling the terror group’s spread across Syria.

3--Overview Of Battle For Deir Ezzor On September 25, 2017

Tensions are rapidly gorwing between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian government forces in the province of Deir Ezzor, north of the provincial capital.

Last week, the SDF used an intense fighting between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and ISIS and seized Isba and Tabiyeh oil and gas fields located north of Khusham village on the east bank of the Euphrates. Separately, the SDF pushed towards al-Suwar village deep inside Deir Ezzor province.

This situation as well as repeated claims in pro-SDF media that the group will oppose attempts of government forces to develop the momentum on the east bank.

4-- US Double-Dealing Policy Is To Blame For Death Of Russia’s General In Syria – Russian Foreign Ministry

CNN announced citing a US official that US forces in Syria have increased surveillance of Russian troop locations. The report boosted the rumors that ISIS could receive a location of the Russian-Syrian command post from the US-led coalition.

The Russian Defense Ministry also released photos showing US Special Operations Forces deployed in stronghold in the ISIS-held area near Dier Ezzor with no screening patrols.
“The shots clearly show the US SOF units located at strongholds that had been equipped by the ISIS terrorists. Though there is no evidence of assault, struggle or any US-led coalition airstrikes to drive out the militants.
Despite that the US strongholds being located in the ISIS areas, no screening patrol has been organized at them. This suggests that the US troops feel safe in terrorist controlled regions,” the statement said.

7--How to end the Korea crisis, Ron Paul

Here’s how to solve the seven-decade old crisis: pull all US troops out of North Korea; end all military exercises on the North Korean border; encourage direct talks between the North and South and offer to host or observe them with an international delegation including the Russians and Chinese, which are after all Korea’s neighbors.

The schoolyard insults back and forth between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un are not funny. They are in fact an insult to all of the rest of us

Whoever reaches the Al-‘Omar Oil Field first will reap the economic and territorial benefit that comes with liberating this imperative area in the heart of the Euphrates River Valley

9-- Russia and China Planning Massive Infrastructure and Investment in BOTH Koreas

Moscow’s strategy, like Beijing’s, is connectivity: the only way to integrate Pyongyang is to keep it involved in economic cooperation via the Trans-Korean-Trans-Siberian connection, pipelines and the development of North Korean ports.

Exception cruelty. Exceptional brutality. Exceptional cynicism. The greatest threat to peace in human history, hands down.

13-- Samantha Power, broomstick and all

Samantha Power sought to unmask Americans on almost daily basis, sources say
Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was 'unmasking' at such a rapid pace in the final months of the Obama administration that she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016 – and even sought information in the days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration, multiple sources close to the matter told Fox News.
Two sources, who were not authorized to speak on the record, said the requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One source indicated this occurred in the final days of the Obama White House.

It is not president Assad we are protecting. We are protecting the Syrian state. we don't want Syria to end up like Libya, Somalia or afgahnistan In Afghanistan NATO has been involved for many years, but the situation is not getting better. We want to preserve the Syrian state.

17--Special counsel seeks White House documents on Flynn, Comey, Manafort

After citing Rosenstein’s recommendation—which argued that Comey had breached Justice Department rules in making harsh public comments about Clinton—Trump later admitted that his real motive for firing Comey was his conduct in the Russia investigation.

Mueller’s document demands mark a new stage in the political warfare in Washington, which is fueled by divisions within the capitalist state, and the ruling elite as a whole, over foreign policy, particularly concerns that Trump is not taking a sufficiently hard line against Russian and the government of President Vladimir Putin (see: “Palace coup or class struggle: The political crisis in Washington and the strategy of the working class”).

The press accounts of Mueller’s demands for White House documents follow the CNN report that Mueller has threatened former campaign chairman Manafort with indictment on charges unrelated to the Trump campaign, concerning his activities as a consultant to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, in an effort to compel Manafort to become a cooperating witness against Trump or Flynn.

There's also the fact that fomer FBI director James Comey testified on Capitol Hill this spring that there was no evidence to back up Trump's claim that his wires were tapped. "We have no information to support those tweets," Comey told the House intelligence committee.
And the fact that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has also definitively ruled out that Trump's phones were tapped.

"For the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the President-elect at the time, or as a candidate, or against his campaign," Clapper said on NBC in March. Asked directly whether there was a FISA warrant to tap Trump's phone at Trump Tower, Clapper responded bluntly: "I can deny it."
